About Us

What we do

Ronald McDonald House Westmead offers a 60-room "home away from home" for families from rural NSW, interstate of overseas while their child is receiving treatment at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Staying at the House not only eases the financial pressure on families, but offers the kind of comfortable, warm environment they need to support their child's treatment and recovery.

Ronald McDonald House Westmead runs a range of events throughout the year to raise the much-needed funds to keep our doors open for families 365 days a year. We need your help

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the support of community groups, corporates and individuals to ensure that seriously ill children and their families can stay together. Families are stronger when they are together, and maintaining family bonds helps the healing process.

In 2018, we opened the doors to the new, 60-room Ronald McDonald House Westmead, which will ensure that turning away families due to a lack of capacity will be a thing of the past.

It offers a place where families can lean on each other, while their child receives the vital treatment he or she needs. Hit play to take a look inside the House That Love Built.
